The stunning double-moated 13th century Hever Castle and family home of Anne Boleyn is just 22 miles away. Open from 12noon until 6pm (last entrance 5pm).
Chessington World of Adventures
Offers spine-tingling rides and attractions, exotic animal encounters, and crazy comedy capers. 90% of the rides and attractions are suitable for children under 12's and it is just 15 miles away. Open from 10am until 8pm.
London
And of course all the attactions of London are just 15 minutes away by train from East Croydon station, including the London Eye, Tower of London, the London Aquarium and lots of shopping on Oxford & Regent Streets.
